DescriptionThis is a ceremonial dagger worn as part of the traditional Scottish Highlander dress along with the kilt. The Scottish dirk is worn tucked into the right stocking with only the pommel visible. They are usually worn in pairs. Great collectible and practical item for men, women and children.
Typically the Sgian Dubh are worn in a pair consisting of a larger butchering knife with a 9-10 inch blade, and a skinning knife with a 4 inch blade. This is the smaller skinning knife. It is approximately 7 inches long overall. There is scalloped filework on the back of the blade. The sheath and pommel have detailed relief designs of thistles.
